Chris's Tallow Soap | Root Made Goods

This is the soap I make for myself, the only soap I trust for my skin, my family, and daily use. Designed for face, body, and hair, it cleanses without stripping, hydrates without greasiness, and nourishes like nothing else.

After searching for a tallow soap that met my standards and finding nothing, I created my own. Every bar is crafted with tallow I render myself and the finest ingredients for unmatched skin nourishment, hydration, and cleansing. No fillers. No synthetics. Just the best soap I could make.

Each batch takes six weeks to make, yielding only 13 bars at a time.

Ingredients & Why They Matter:

• Midland Meat Co. Wagyu-Angus Cross Tallow – I personally render this tallow from single-source, traceable fat from Midland Meat Co., a family-owned business with over a century of ranching heritage. This isn’t the generic tallow found in mass-produced soaps; it's rich in stearic acid and vitamins A, D, E, and K, and it creates a harder, long-lasting bar that deeply conditions skin and hair, supporting barrier repair and moisture retention.
• First-Press Organic Whole Kernel Virgin Coconut Oil – This unrefined oil retains its full spectrum of nutrients, offering deep hydration, antimicrobial protection, and a rich, cleansing lather. Its higher levels of polyphenols and antioxidants make it superior for both cleansing and conditioning.
• First-Press Single Estate Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil – High in polyphenols, squalene, and oleic acid, this oil nourishes the skin while gently cleansing without stripping natural oils. Used for centuries in skincare, it provides maximum benefits for skin and hair.
• Raw Manuka Honey (UMF 20+) – Sourced for its unparalleled antibacterial and skin-repairing properties, this honey boasts an MGO (Methylglyoxal) level of 850+, offering scientifically proven antimicrobial strength far beyond standard honey. I included it because nothing else compares.
• Lye & Water – The foundation of true soap. No detergents, no artificial foaming agents—just real saponified fats.

Scents:

Unscented – Pure, unaltered, and as simple as it gets.
Lavender – Classic, clean, and calming.
Summit – A blend of eucalyptus, rosemary, and balsam. Fresh, sharp, and grounding.
